Lovingly restored in 2016, Sarah's Cottage is a beautiful, self-contained cottage located perfectly in Cardrona Village, at the base of the Cardrona Alpine and Bike Resort.
This gorgeous cosy Cottage is directly across from the famous Cardrona Hotel that has a restaurant, bar and a large outdoor area that features both indoor and outdoor fire places and historic artefacts from the original gold mining days in the 19th Century.
The cottage features 3 bedrooms that sleep 7 adults, with 3 queen-size beds and 1 king single bed. We cater for babies or toddlers (providing a bassinet or cot upon request). The large living area boasts an open fire and luxurious furniture and large dining table in front of the fire. Our fully fitted kitchen is open plan with an oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The laundry has a washing machine, drier and heated boot dryer blowing warm air in your boots ready for another days hiking, snowboarding or skiing.
Sarah’s Cottage is centrally located 15 minutes drive from Wanaka and 40 minutes from Queenstown. Cardrona is a great base for many activities.
The Cardrona Alpine and Bike Resort access road is a 2 minute drive away. A shuttle bus is based 3 minutes drive away where you can park your car and enjoy the 30 minute drive up enjoying the mountainous scenery on route. Once at the top you can ski or snow board in winter and mountain biking during the summer months. There are many other activities such as Jet boating, hiking glaciers or our many mountain trails, mountain biking, horse riding, quad bike riding, playng golf course, day spas and much more.
We are also 30 minutes’ drive from Treble Cone and only 1 hour’s drive from Remarkables and Coronet Peak Resorts.
Wanaka is just 15 minutes North with its majestic lake or you can head south over the Crown Range which is the highest Alpine Road in New Zealand, you could be mistaken for thinking you are entering middle earth!! The Range is 1000m in altitude with incredible views over the Wakatipu Basin as you head to Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world.
